Building Vibrant Communities
At CHS, we are committed to being active members of our communities and helping to support the future of rural North Dakota and agriculture. We are proud to give back to our towns with our time, talent and resources.
Here in North Dakota, we enthusiastically participate in the annual CHS Country Operations Harvest for Hunger program, which has provided more than 7.5 million meals since 2011. We encourage you to help us in this effort by contributing cash, grain, and canned/fresh foods for the Harvest for Hunger drive. Your donations will help feed people in need right here in the communities we serve.
Our cooperative joined CHS locations across the country in raising $550,000 and nearly 270,000 pounds of food for hungry families through the 2015 annual CHS Harvest for Hunger food, funds and grain drive by the Country Operations division of CHS, the nation’s leading farmer-owned cooperative. We started a Pink Toilet Brigade to help raise funds. The toilet was transferred between twenty-one yards in ten days. We raised $10,375 through its efforts in this year’s campaign.
When you work with CHS in our region, you’re also helping one of North America’s largest agribusiness meet its broader stewardship goals. In 2013, CHS and the CHS Foundation contributed $8.8 million to communities.Visit chsfoundation.org to learn more about scholarships, ag safety, rural youth leadership and other programs.
